Filename Randomizer for Listening Tests

Notes by ff123

Discussion: Blind listening comparisons of two or more samples should have certain characteristics to rule out unwanted side effects: they should have identical loudness, they should be the same duration, and the order of presentation should be randomized. The following utility allows various participants in a blind listening test to randomize the order in which they listen to samples. Enter the relevant portions of the filenames (no spaces in the filenames) into the text entry boxes below and then press Randomize. The filenames will be returned in random order. Please note that although there are ten boxes for randomizing, I don't advocate comparing more than six (certainly no more than eight) files at a time.
